Comparison

BeeGoodHealth and Glucose Buddy

Both are places to log glucose. The difference is how they are paid for: users describe Glucose Buddy’s free tier as ad-supported to the point of being unusable, and BeeGoodHealth runs no ads on any plan, free or paid. Here is what our research note found, and what it did not.

Facts checked July 2026. Everything in the Glucose Buddy column comes from one written research note of ours, and from nothing else. That note is a survey of published user reviews and press coverage — we have not tested Glucose Buddy ourselves. Where it recorded nothing, the row says so rather than guessing.

Side by side

Four of these rows are blank on the right. The note looked at how Glucose Buddy is monetised and how its sharing and reporting land with users; it is silent on whether it syncs a sensor, whether food and glucose share a timeline, whether there is a browser version, or whether its methods are published. We would rather leave those empty than guess in our own favour.

BeeGoodHealth on the left, Glucose Buddy on the right. Ours is every plan unless a cell says Premium.

The same note also recorded a cluttered interface, a per-entry manual save that loses data, and unresponsive support. That is a reading of what users wrote in mid-2026, not a test we ran ourselves, and an app can be fixed. If any of it is out of date, tell us and we will correct this page.

Who should stay with Glucose Buddy

If your logbook there already holds years of entries, that history is worth more than a tidier table. We cannot move it for you, and starting again from empty is a real cost that no feature list offsets.

Stay too if what you want is a phone in your hand at a restaurant and nothing else. BeeGoodHealth is a web app first: it opens in a browser on a laptop or a phone, which is the right shape for charts and reports and the wrong shape for someone who wants a home-screen icon and no browser at all.

Our pitch is narrow: no ads on any plan, sharing you control, and the arithmetic behind every number published. If those are not what is bothering you, switching is not worth your afternoon.
